Yarn: 80 (90, 100, 110, 125, 145) yards/75 (80, 90, 100, 115, 130) meters of bulky weight yarn, plus scrap yarns of various weights and colors for the flower, horns, and leaves. Sample shown in Baby Alpaca Grande colorway Mushroom.
Hooks: Size US L/8 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge), size US K/6.5 mm, plus hooks in the appropriate size for each scrap. Approximately sizes US H/5 mm – US F/3.75 mm, or as recommended on the yarn label.
Gauge: 10 stitches x 8 rows = 4”/10 cm in half-double crochet on largest-size hook. The fabric should be nice and loose, not too tight so it has stretch for a comfortable fit.
