I just need a little bit of lace in my life right now! These socks are knit from the cuff down in the traditional manner. The leg may be worked as long or short as desired. Sometimes I feel like those of us with smaller or bigger than average feet get left out of the sock pattern fun. So here is a design just for us! Sorry happy mediums!
(Ok ok, since I hate anyone being left out, if you are size medium or extra large feet, you can fake it by working the small or large size with larger gauge needles than written in the pattern. Try bumping up 1.5 to 2 needle sizes.)
Sizes: Small (Large). These socks will fit those with an actual arch circumference of about 7” – 7 ½” (8 ½” – 9 ½”)/18 – 19 cm, measured just below the ball of the foot.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, a tapestry needle, and sock-blockers (optional).
Techniques: Knitting in the round, basic lace techniques, reading a chart, picking up stitches, and the Kitchener stitch.
