Let’s get real, here.

These bios are always written by the person they’re about and I hate speaking in the third person. I’m Sheila and I’ll admit it right now…I’m a yarnivore. I love all things fiber arts! Knitting and crocheting has been my passion for several years now and I love creating new patterns. When I began crocheting and knitting, I learned early on that I almost always had to customize any pattern I worked with because I am very petite and tiny. This improvisation lead to creating my own patterns. I always strive to make my designs really easy to customize to fit those of us with non-typical body types! For me, creating garments is just a fantastic outlet for creative expression.

I’ve always needed to make art…

I studied and got my degree in 2 dimensional design in college; I’ve always needed to make art. I feel that my different background gives me a unique perspective on knitting and crocheting. In my patterns, I always endeavor to contribute something new to the fiber community — something that hasn’t been seen before.

As for me personally, I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I’m not from here, but the longer I remain, the more I love the way the mountains embrace the city and the wilderness is always a half hour away, no matter where in the state you are. I came here originally to go to college and ended up staying. I have the most amazing husband in the whole world. He is just as much a contributor of these patterns as I am; Math is the devil and he somehow knows how to speak that demonic tongue. We have a beautiful little boy, 3 lazy cats, and 3 idiot chickens. I can’t imagine my life with out my sweet little family.
