Product Description
These quick little slipper socks are just the thing for chilly mornings when fall starts to set in. They are worked from the toe up with a reinforced heel and edging to keep them snug on your feet. With 4 sizes, no one is left out! These slippers could easily have a leather sole stitched to them for added traction.
Sizes: Extra Small (Small, Medium, Large) to fit a circumference of about 7” (7.5”, 8.5”, 9.75”)/18 (19, 21.5, 25) cm.
Yarn: 100 – 175 yards/90 – 160 meters of sock yarn. Sample shown in Old Maiden Aunt 100% Superwash Merino 4ply colorway Kelpie.
Needles: Size US 1/2.25 mm and size US 2/2.75 mm circular needles with a long 40”/100 cm cable, or size needed to obtain gauge and one size smaller.
Gauge: 26 stitches and 42 rows = 4”/10 cm on larger needles.
Notions: 1 stitch marker, sock blockers (optional) and a tapestry needle.
Techniques: Judy’s magic cast on, knitting in the round, basic increases and decreases, picking up stitches, and wrap and turn (short rows).
