About the Project

Have you guys figured out yet that I’m completely obsessed with Miyazaki and particularly Princess Mononoke?? I have designed a series of charts that are perfect to knit up for a double-knit scarf. This chart is written to be used with a Sport – DK weight yarn, depending on the width you’d like. Worked in DK yarn with a gauge of 22 sts x 32 rows = 4″ in stockinette stitch, the scarf will work up to measure about 7 3/4″ x 63 1/2″. I am working on knitting it up but it’s going to take forever to double-knit it so I’m posting the charts now w/o a finished image of the scarf! If you knit it up, send me a pic! I’d love to see it finished and at the rate I’m knitting, it’ll be the next century before I finish.

Note: If you would like to design with these charts, please do so! Just please link people to this webpage instead of copying my charts and putting them in your pattern or on your own website. And of course, please give me credit for my design. Please do not reprint, copy, distribute, or represent my work as your own. Come on, this stuff is already open source. Just help a sister out by being decent. Questions? Feel free to email me at sheila.toy@hotmail.com

The charts are printed in 3 pages. The files are numbered 1, 2, and 3. Begin on page one, on the lower, right-hand side, on row 1 stitch 1. Work bottom to top, then begin the 2nd column at the bottom, and so on. Click on the project gallery to view and print the images at full size.
